Happy International Beaver Day! April 7th was chosen as the day to celebrate beavers because it was the birthday of Dorothy Richards who studied beavers for 50 years!
Beaver Fun Facts: 1. Beavers have orange teeth. 2. They can stay underwater for 6-8 minutes! 3. They are the largest rodent in North America, weighing from 35-65 pounds. 4. Beavers are ecosystem engineers, which can help reduce the impact of wild forest fires.
